CHAITANYA IN
VRINDAVANA
Artist: Murlidhara

During Lord Chaitanya's appearance, He
journeyed to Mathura-Vrindavana from Jagannatha Puri to visit Lord Krishna's holy birth place and pastime places. While
traveling through the forests of Vrindavana, the animals like the birds, deer, cows, monkeys and others often surrounded Him,
attracted to His transcendental form and His sweet chanting. It was as if Lord Krishna had appeared again and was attracting
all living beings with His loving glance. The animals could not give up the company of the Lord. In the spiritual world the
animals do not fear death from other living beings. Feeling the love from the Lord of all living beings, the animals came
to the shelter of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. This pastime is told in the Chaitanya-charitamrita,
Madhya lila, 18th chapter.
