KRISHNA &
BALARAMA 3
Artist: Jadurani Devi Dasi
In this painting Krishna, Balarama, the gopas and calves are returning from the pasturing
grounds. The young gopi girls glance lovingly at Him as He enters the village of Vraja.
These young girls were either eternal associates of the Lord or great sages in their last lives who had desired a conjugal
loving relationship with the Lord. In the spiritual world there is no lust, and sex desire is absent. The gopis loving sentiments were prema not kama.
