When the Lord descends as an Avatar, He does
so with His expansions and eternal associates. To the left of Lord Chaitanya is Lord Nityananda, the incarnation of Lord Balarama.
To the left of Nityananda is Advaita Acharya, the incarnation of Maha Vishnu. To the immediate right of Lord Chaitanya is
Gadadhara Pandit, the incarnation of Srimati Radharani, and to the right of Gadadhara Pandit is Srivas Thakur, the incarnation
of Narada Muni. The Lord descends with His eternal associates who assist Him is performing the yuga dharma. When Lord Rama
descended so also did Laksmana, Bharata, Satrughna, Sita, Hanuman and others. When Lord Krishna appeared so did Balarama,
Pradyumna, Annirudha, Radha, Rukmini and numerous others. When the Lord appears He does not appear alone. The authorized scripture
on the life and precepts of Lord Chaitanya is the Chaitanya-charitamrita by Krishna
Das Kaviraja Goswami.
