VISHVARUPA
Artist: Rama
Das Abhirama Dasa
During Lord Krishna's
instructions to Arjuna, Arjuna inquired if he could see Krishna's Universal Form (Vishvarupa) to show everyone that Krishna
was the Supreme Lord. Lord Krishna then manifested to Arjuna the whole universe in one place. After seeing this powerful form
of the Lord, Arjuna was overcome with awe and reverence. With joined palms in total submission, Arjuna then saw Lord Krishna
manifest a four-armed Vishnu form and then finally His two-armed form so pleasing to all. Not only did Arjuna see this Universal
Form but also Duryodhana and all the warriors on the Kaurava side. Despite seeing this all-powerful form of Lord Krishna,
Duryodhana maintained his desire to fight the Pandavas. Fools can never understand the mystic potency of the Lord. The Universal
Form is mentioned in the eleventh chapter of the Bhagavad-gita. The Gita can be read in the Bhishma Parva of the Mahabharata.
